Our Story

It started with one doctor’s advice.

For 15 years, our factory in Lahore has made tees, polos and underwear for brands across Europe. We know fabric inside out.

Then the daughter of our director, Fahad Shafique, just two and a half years old, developed a skin allergy. Her doctor’s advice was simple: no more polyester.

That sent him digging. The more he read about synthetic fabric worn against the skin all day, from irritation to the questions researchers are raising about male fertility, the harder it was to keep making it.

“My daughter is the reason I looked closer. Every family deserves that choice.”

Fahad Shafique, Director, Hempcott

We studied the problem before we made the shirt

Before a single Hempcott garment was made, we invested time and money into understanding what polyester, microplastics and PFAS “forever chemicals” in clothing mean for the people who wear them every day. We spent 16 months on research and fabric development and ran more than 27 fabric trials on our own knitting machines.

Three plants won: hemp, bamboo and organic cotton. So we made one rule: nothing plastic touches your skin. Not even a single thread.

Made for your health, not for the cheapest price tag

Hempcott costs more to make. It’s for people who put their health before the price tag, and want to be kinder to the planet too.
